Preliminary investigation shows that Trooper McAcy responded with other troopers to a crash on Interstate 80 near mile marker 424, between Ashland and Greenwood. While working that crash, Trooper McAcy was outside his patrol unit and was struck by a snowplow.
Troopers immediately rushed to his aid, but Trooper McAcy succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
