North Carolina: Deputy Struck By Vehicle Passes from Injuries
On September 18th, 2016, Deputy Sheriff John Isenhour was struck by a vehicle at the entrance to Tanglewood Park on Clemmons Road at approximately 10 a.m. while he was working at an annual cycling event. Deputy Isenhour was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he was treated and remained in critical condition. We have the sad duty of reporting that Deputy Isenhour succumbed to his injuries during the evening of September 28, 2016

Trooper from the Ohio State Highway Patrol was struck and killed along Interstate 90 just west of Cleveland on Thursday.According to the patrol, Trooper Kenneth Velez died shortly after the crash which occurred near Lakewood in Cuyahoga County.

A Johnson County, Kansas Sheriff's Deputy was struck and killed by a vehicle while conducting a traffic stop on 69 Highway near 143rd Street early Sunday morning.The sheriff's office said Master Deputy Brandon Collins was killed at 1:30 a.m. when his vehicle was struck by another motorist during a traffic stop.

California: Officer Struck and Killed in San Jose
Police, family and South Bay residents paid their respects as a procession honoring Officer Michael Katherman took the fallen officer from San Jose to a Los Gatos funeral home. Officer Michael Katherman, 34, was struck by a silver minivan while on patrol Tuesday afternoon on North 10th Street and succumbed to his injuries at a hospital a short time later, police said.

New Orleans Police officer Natasha Hunter, 32, died Tuesday afternoon (June 7) of injuries she suffered early Sunday morning when a suspected drunk driver hit her while she investigated a multi-vehicle crash on an Interstate 10 shoulder near the Esplanade Avenue exit, New Orleans police said.
