Authorities say a state Department of Public Safety officer has been flown to the hospital after being struck by a car on Interstate 10 near Casa Grande.
The incident happened about 1:30 p.m. near milepost 191, where the officer and several other DPS authorities were investigating a collision and controlling traffic.
It's not clear how the officer was hit. The extent of the officer's injuries are not immediately known by DPS officials say the officer is conscious and alert. The identity of the injured officer has not been released yet.
