Georgia Police Officer Hit by Car Released from Hospital

Veteran officer Daniel LaCoste made his first steps outside of the Shepherd Center toward recovery. Just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, surrounded by family and friends LaCoste was put into a car and taken home, a place he hasn't been since he was hit on I-20 during a traffic stop on July 17.
