Injured Des Moines Police Officer Moved From Hospital to Care Center

The condition of a Des Moines police officer struck by a truck while directing traffic at the Iowa State Fair last month continues to improve. Phoukham Tran has a long recovery ahead, however, according to police administrators. Officer Tran has been moved from University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City to another facility in Chicago.
