Iowa: Officer Struck by SUV Leaves Hospital Month after Accident

The Des Moines police officer struck by an SUV a month ago is out of the hospital and continuing her rehabilitation, police said. Officer Candice Lassiter, 33, was investigating a traffic accident March 24 when a passing driver lost control of his vehicle on an icy hill and slid into her, authorities said.
