Two provincial police officers were injured Wednesday when their cruisers were struck by other vehicles. Police say an officer was taken to hospital when his cruiser was hit by a tractor-trailer while he was stopped at the side of Highway 10 near Bovaird Drive in Brampton, Ontario. The officer was trapped in the vehicle after it was pushed against a guardrail. His injuries are considered minor. Earlier in the day, a female officer was injured after her cruiser was hit by a tractor-trailer west of Orangeville. Her injuries were also non-life-threatening.
