Florida: St. Petersburg Motorcyle Patrol Officer Hit by Bus, Injured

A St. Petersburg police motorcycle patrol officer and a bus passenger were injured in a crash Saturday morning in St. Pete Beach, police said. Officer Michael Weiskopf was assisting with traffic control for the St. Pete Beach Classic 10K race at 7 a.m. when he was struck by a slow-moving Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority bus, police said.
