Temple motorcycle William Pettyjohn, 45, remained in Baylor Scott & White Hospital Thursday afternoon after he was struck by an out-of-control car during a traffic stop and thrown about 20 feet, police said. Pettyjohn, a 14-year veteran of the department, received non-life-threatening injuries in the accident.
