A fatal crash that killed one person on Thursday night closed part of Interstate 695 in Baltimore County. Authorities said the crash happened on the outer loop of I-695 near the Baltimore-National Pike exit near Westview about 8:30 p.m. Officials with the Maryland State Police said the outer loop of I-695 was closed at Interstate 70. The inner loop lanes remained open. Fire officials said a vehicle struck a tow truck that was on the side of the highway.
The tow truck was an MD SHA CHART response truck. Fortunately he was out of the truck.
