Authorities say a suspected drunken driver crashed into a Philadelphia police cruiser on Interstate 95. The incident happened at about 2:20 a.m. Monday in the southbound lanes of I-95 in northeast Philadelphia. Authorities say police were assisting state police with a previous crash when a man driving a black sport utility vehicle slammed into the rear of the patrol car. No officers were in the car at the time of the crash.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital. His condition isn't known.
Authorities didn't immediately identify the driver.
