An intoxicated man from upstate New York crashed into a state trooper’s car in White Plains.

Police said Luis P. Zhinin, 32, of Bridgeport, rammed into the parked trooper’s vehicle around 9 p.m. Jan. 17.

State police were there investigating an unrelated accident when Zhinin’s 2006 Honda Civic struck the rear of the trooper’s car.

Zhinin was taken to the Tarrytown barracks where his blood alcohol level was found to be 0.14 percent. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and released to a sober third party to return to court Feb. 4. Neither Zhinin nor the trooper were injured.
