An 18-year-old man from Riverview, N.B., was arrested Sunday after a police officer was struck by an all-terrain vehicle during a vehicle stop, according to a written statement from RCMP Cpl. Once stopped, the driver of the ATV attempted to flee and the police officer was struck, Mitchell said. The police officer was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries and then released. The 18-year-old man was later located and arrested in Riverview. He was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court July 14 at 9 a.m.
