A driver is in custody after Lexington police say he struck a Lexington fire truck Thursday morning.

Police say the driver was trying to get around the fire truck on Russell Cave Road when he made contact with the vehicle. Officers arrested him because he had a warrant out for his arrest.

The driver, 20, was from Tennessee, and he also received a ticket for having no insurance and driving on a suspended license.

The driver's vehicle was towed away, and the fire truck had minor scratches.

The collision briefly impacted traffic.
