    While responding to a motor vehicle accident, three Southwest Central Fire Territory firefighters became involved in an accident when a semi truck hauling pickles rear-ended them. The three firefighters inside that rig are OK but say they’re very lucky. “When we were approaching the scene, it was backed up approximately 100 yards,” recalled Southwest Central Fire Capt.     A Massachusetts State Police trooper and a Framingham driver were hospitalized on Tuesday afternoon after a cruiser was struck by another car in Dedham. Police said that at about 12:40 p.m. officers responded to Route 95 South near Exit 16A in Dedham where a 49-year-old Framingham woman struck a police cruiser while driving her 2003 Mercury Sable.

    A Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy was rushed to an area hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Jeffersontown. JCSO spokesman Lt. Col. Carl Yates said the deputy stopped to assist with a non-injury accident at the intersection of Billtown Road and Michaele Lane around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.     A Mattawan police officer was struck by a vehicle while tending to an elderly woman found lying in the snow early Tuesday morning. Mattawan Police Officer Brian Matyas was on patrol at about 2:30 a.m. when he found a 74-year-old woman in the snow on Cole Avenue near 25th Street. Matyas called for an ambulance and immediately began aiding the woman on the side of the roadway.

    Shortly after, two deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office arrived at Deprez neighbor's home. Only to find, Colby Reed rifling through Deprez's attached garage. "The perpetrator was just coming out of the driveway here and ran around his, (the neighbor's) house," Deprez showed. That prompted a foot chase around a few of the homes on Brook Road. Then, according to the felony complaint, Reed, jumped into his SUV and tried to make a run for it, hitting one of the deputies in the process; then this. "21 shots fired," officers said over the scanner feed. Two shots were fired into Reed's car, he was uninjured. The deputy Reed struck, received a minor injury to his left knee. He was taken to Rochester General Hospital.
