Officer Angela Simon was hurt after pulling over a vehicle at about 1:15 a.m. at 400 West Colfax Avenue on Monday. She is recovering at Denver Health Medical Center from injuries to her mid-to-lower body.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says one of its vehicles was hit roadside Wednesday morning while a trooper was investigating a traffic incident. Sgt. Stephen Townsend said the trooper’s Dodge Charger was hit on its passenger side by a Ford F-250 pickup spinning out of control.

Iowa Trooper's Car Hit By Semi On Snowy Road
The crash was reported near Blairsburg, in Hamilton County about 2:15 p.m. and involved a state trooper's car. Trooper Jeremy Schaffer was stopped assisting on a crash when his car was hit by a semi. Schaffer and a driver from one of the cars in the earlier crash, Todd Haley, of Georgia, were inside the trooper's vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital in Webster City with non-life-threatening injuries.
