A Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputy was hurt on Tuesday morning, September 29th when his squad was struck from behind on Interstate-43. Officials say the deputy was at the scene of another crash on southbound I-43 near Keefe Ave. The squad was stopped in the median distress lane with the lights activated when it was struck just before 10 a.m. “Our deputies continue to have close calls at crash scenes when their squads have been hit. Deputies risk their lives every day on the freeway. Drivers need to do their part and move over or slow down.”
